I just used this army and it was rather effective.
2- Scar Veterans w/
Light armor, shield, BS of Quetzl, Charm of Jaguar, Sword of might
1- Skink Priest w/
Cloak of Feathers, Lv 2
2- 16 man units of Saurus w/ full command
2- 10 man units of Skinks with blowpipes
1- 11 man unit of Skinks with blowpipes
2- 5 man units of Chemleon Skins
total number of units - 76 plus the stegadon
This seemed to work very well as a army. Not real sure if i could call it a well rounded army though. What do you think?
you can't have twice the same magical weapons and items.
the cameleon skinks are 0-1.
oops, slight over sight on my part. thanx i will fix that. i will just take the skinks with the scout abilty.
and what do you mean i cant have the the magic items. it is on 2 seperate hero's(doesn't say that i cant in the book)

You can never have 2 of the same magic item in an army, the only exceptions being power stones and dispel scrolls. Unless specifically stated under the item's description that you can have duplicates, this applies to any magic item. The idea behind this is that the items are one-of-a-kind, and there would never be two of them in an army.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if it's wrong.
Also, a single priest usually doesn't get much off, you could replace by giving your scar vets, spawning of tepoc for magical resistance, this should free up some points.
give 1 scar vet a great weapon, jaguar charm and light armour he'll crack up armour and chariots in no time.
The second could use the the scimitar of sun resplendant, with a shield and light armour, or an amulet of Itlz or Quetzl with a great weapon.
