So here is the list that I think is the best i can make. I need a list to play in tourneys with and this is one that i think will be effective so any input would be great.
480 - Slann : 4th generation, plaque of dominion, SBS, sun standard of chotec
100 - Skink priest : lvl 2
288 - 20 Saurus : musician, champion, Quetzl
174 - 3 Kroxigors
210 - 15 Saurus : command
205 - 5 SAurus Calvalry : musician, standard
169 - Scar vet - itzl, sotek, maiming sheild, spear, light armour, cold one
195 - 3 Salamanders
60 - 10 skinks
60 - 10 skinks
60 - 10 skinks
Total = 2001points
Models = 79
7 power dice
4 dispell dice
So thats my plan. Mainly Id put the saurus blocks in the middle with the kroxies and salies on one flank and the CORs on the other and the skinks making a good screen but leaving room for my CORs to get out. the slann is with the unit of 20 Saurus and the scar vet is with the CORs. Thanks for any replies
I assume the quetzl unit is protecting the Slann, or at least one of the units is?
I like this army, it should do quite well
New LOChat functions now avaliable.

Plaque of protection on the slann, you don't want him to eat cannonballs don't you?
Also, give him a unit of saurus with BSotlazcolt, this way they won't autobreak by fear of terror.
you could have that Scar vet on foot with, a JSoD with BSoTepok.
it looks pretty good. i personally have had great sucess with scouting skinks, but i guess you not having any might be a stylistic decision. However, i am left to wonder how you are going to deal with heavily shooty armies. Do you plan to magic them to death? In that case you might have a hard time taking dwarfs, i know its only one army, but if you plan to be competative you might want to consider it.
good luck and happy gaming
Salamanders are the perfect solutin for shooty armies, screen them with skinks up to as close as you need, then move them and open fire. Shooters usually have low toughness, so they wiil take many hits, and probably break. (25% casualties)
this army looks good, but you need something manuverable to back up your saurus. If used right the scar vet on the cold one will work, but its a very tricky thing to accomplish.
sorry for not making myself completely clear, but i meant artillary shooty, like high and dark elves with repeator bolt throwers (i think they get 2 per rare choice), empire because of their artillary, but your right you could use slalmanders to take out their infantry. the toughest thing would be dwarfs. they have high toughness, are shooty with normal units (thunderers and crossbbowmen (both core)) and have the good artillery. I know they are only one army, and you can out manouver them, but i think to get 50% wins against a good dwarf list you need something like scouting skinks (or even better chameo skinks )
ok so I dont think that i want to make a JsoD cuz as is i have a decently killer unit with my scarvet and the cors together. shooty is gonna be a problem but i have quite a few skinks to screen. Unless they play gunline it shouldnt be too bad im guessing and if i cater to fighting a gunline army im screwed for other armies. therefore I dont know what else i can really do to balance it more. Thanks for the tlazcotl idea sounds good.
ok lets make this short and sweet
slann-drop sun standard, get diadem of power, switch dominion for protection
15 saurus will barely cut it against elite fighter units of bigger size. even if you have a hero. i would make sure they have help from krox or saurus cav.
i personally do not think cor are going to live in a unit of 5. they are much to fragile against shooting/magic. i would drop a skink unit to get 2 more riders. then you have 8 total. + this helps you auto break stuff and we all know thats a good thing.
other than its not bad. i like all of the big stuff sqeezed in. also if you really feel like working your brain over it try and get more saurus in that second unit.
When you combine Speed and Power you get Lightning.
In your original list what were you going to use to fill in the ranks of the 15 group of saurus? your scarvet is on a cold one, so that won't work. Or were you just planning on putting them 3x5?
