This list is currently approx. 1300 points. I want it to be a 2000 point army. What should I add to it to be a good 2000 point army?
Charm of Jaguar Warrior
BS of Quetzl
BS of Tzunki
Dispell scoll X2
Level 2 Wizard
hand weapons & shields
hand weapons, shields, & spears
12 skink scouts
blowpipes and hand weapons
12 skink skirmishers
javelins and shields
5 Saurus Calvary
spears, hand weapons, & shields
Total Points: 1329
I'm thinking about adding a unit of Kroxigors and a Saurus Scar-vet on Cold one.
That are sound ideas. Other might be:
- More Skinks. A very good idea.
- A 3rd Salamander.
- A great weapon for your first Scar-vet. Let him hunt tin-cans and monsters. Then you could just as well drop the Maiming Shield for a normal shield, as you wouldn't use it in combat.
For further additions, do you prefer a more solid army or a more aggressive army? For we Lizardmen are spoiled with choice.
I was thinking that I was going to be the guy who kicks butt really fast and hard. So aggressive would be the way I would want to go.
I think you could drop the lvl on the skink priest, because I doubt 1 lvl 2 mage will have much (or any) impact at 2000pts. I agree with Araith, give the Scar-Vet a great weapon as he can hunt chariots etc. with his S7 (also the BS of Sotek wouldn't hurt, as on the charge he would have 5 S7 attacks...:shifty: )
I personally don't like spears on saurus, bceause it increases their cost alot and they are only really useful when they get charged, in which case I would like HW & Shield for a better save.
You could also up both saurus units to 20, so if they take any casualties they will still retain their rank bonus of 3
Again I agree with Araith in that and extra salamander for your salamander unit would be helpful (all the better for killing elves  ). I also agree with adding a unit of Kroxigor and some more skinks. Also, maybe some terradons would be good for march blocking and taking out mages and war machines...
(and yes, if you apply these changes your list will begin to look VERY similar to mine...so maybe it would be best not to trust my advice...:shifty: ).
Either way, I think the list is looking good so far
P.S. You could replace the BS on the Scar-vet for BS of Sotek for the extra attack and BS of Tepok so you will have 4 dispel dice and 2 scrolls. It is sufficient for me at least

also, the two friends I'm going to play against the most often play Chaos and Wood Elves. Should I change my list to make it easier to beat them or is the current list okay?
Also I am currently assembling and painting another unit of CoR.
in that case definately give your scar vet the GW & sotek loadout to crack those tough chaos warriors. another salamader would seriously put the hurt on the elves...
