Note = this is a Sacred army of Quetzl and uses the rules (some of which I am unsure of due to my newness to the game). Please if you have any ideas / know of any rules that I have broken please list / state them.
Quetzl list eh? I dunno if you have experiance with them but whenever I used it, it worked great. You have inspired me to start playn mine again(it was absent for only like 8 games but that was the majority of my warhammer career). Skinks with javs=5+ save out of combat and 4+ save in it, pretty useful. Saurus with 3+ in combat it's great.
The only suggestions I have would be smaller unit of TG(they're pretty expensive) but as I don't see you need anything I don't know if it's such a good idea in the end. Also the diadem on a second gen. slaan isn't necessary IMO, they have essentually a D6+1 on all their spells. You could swap it for the blood stuatte or w/e I think which would be more usefull. Anyway haven't had much experiance with either TG or slaan so the last advice you should take with a grain of salt more or less.
What I do know is two units of scouting skinks don't always get to make use of thier scouting(no place out of site 10" away) and when you have no screens, it's definately advisable to take the scouting off one so it can screen(which they're very good at with BSo Quetzl).

My word man, why would anyone even attempt staging a conflict with such a paltry fighting force? You truly are a general bound for the service of such lowly, savage beasts. Tsk tsk, to think, you could have ridden into the fray with a warhorse and a lance.... oh well, someday a mighty Bretonnian charge shall show you the light. Right before it goes dark, that is. The Lady lacks room for lizards.
When the time comes, man, I really do forsee it like this - Slann makes death in Magic phase and Trebuchets (Do the French pluralize like us?) make death in shooting phase. Can you say "12-60 inches" ? Not necessarily full-on pwnage, but by no means will my prophetess match your Slann. Even with a properly configured Bretonnian Lord leading a charge, unless I can get your Slann into a duel (is that even possible?) there will be Temple Guards smacking my poor knights in some close-combat. But dont even think a skink ambush is gonna work. We're like, ya know, mobile.
Objectives: Kill Slann.
Secondary: Dont get set on fire.
Bonus: Get lizardmen on fire. Thats like, +500000 victory points, ya know..
Well the divine plaque of protection=2+ wardsave so GL with your trebuchets doing anything to the slaan(not that they could without it). Also, that spell that doens't allow save pwns knights. Scouting skinks shoot up trebs. Kroxigors pwn knights. What do you guys have? oh ya lancem bait with saurus, kroxigors come in, not the most cost effective but generally a unit of saurus is on par in points with a lance of most of you kiniggits(monty python in case any1 didn't know). Also the saurus probably should flee that charge considering a lance of knights does pretty much leave nothing left your right about that.
Anyway what you failed to do in your post was offer any sort of advice for his list and that is the purpose of this section. All you did was praise the Brets, go to a bret forum and post how you think LM suck against Brets, you should probably help this person out with tips against brets, not talk down LM.
Hes a friend of mine. I'm just giving him ****. In fact, he's teaching me.
But hey, nice to see you lizardfolk defend your own.
Yeah Araith is right, sotek is great on a JSoD or probably an old blood on a carnosaur but saurus are not known for gotting the charge off so it usually wouldn't pay for it self, expecially against brets.
- *14 models
- Points = 252
-drop scout from the ones with jav./shield
- add another unit of them with blowpipe/hand (scouts)
- gave one the cube of darkness
- New total is about 2240 ( dont have time to find exact at the moment )
- also about the saurus and charging, I normaly take a few spells from shadow lore ( unseen lurker and dark cloud thing ) this can give the sauras a 16" charge range and gives them 16 attacks that round.
- thanks for all your advice so far and I tried my best to adjust, and I will be looking forward to any updates that you can make to the new list update.
