    Note: the regular Skinks screen the reg. Saurus and Kroxigors. The Cold Ones protect one flank while the Kroxigors cover the other. The Sotek Sauruses have the Scar-Vet and go in the front of the army along with the Scouting Skinks. The Skinks mildley shield the Sotek Sauruses. The Sallies go in front of the Cold Ones, while The Old Blood on the Carnosaur goes beside the Kroxigors.

    Great first list. Just a few minor changes that I would make. The revered blade of whatever is way to many points. A great weapon is 50 some points less, more likely to wound, however you strike last and at most your oponent usually has a measly 6+ save). If you drop that you could get a salamander(you'll have a nice pack of 3 or 1 of 2 and the other of 1).

    Now for the great weapon take it from your saurus battle standard, he can't have it anyway since he has the battle standard. Normally you'd need 2 points but your list was three pints under to begin with so your alright. I'd also take the champion out of the unit it's in and put it in the sotek one with the battle standard. That way he can accept any challenges you don't want your scar vet to.

    Now for your tactics, they seem fine the only thing I'd do is screen the sotek saurus rather then the other one cause being sotek saurus and having the BSB they're more likely to be underfire than the other saurus.

    I strongly advice against giving your BSB (Battle Standard Bearer) the Jaguar charm. Keep him nice and snug in your Saurus formation. Set both Saurus units next to each other and you'll have a rock hard centre and any other unit nearby will profit too. Don't let him run free but protect him.
    I'd give him the Spawning of Quetzl for hte extra save, he'll then have a 3+ which will make him pretty hard to kill.

    One other thing I always consider with a BSB is giving him the Sword of the Hornet. While you can't give BSBs normal weapons, magical weapons are allowed. And the Sword of the Hornet is a great addition to a unit-bound character. Striking first if you're charged will save you a number of Saurus.

    I got in the Spawning, but I can't figure out what to tweak to get in the sword. I have 6 points left, any suggestions?

    The Sword of the Hornet isn't as must-have, just a very nice addition which will really the give the enemy a good shock.

    With those 6 pts... just get yourself another Skink.

    Alternatively (I just think of it) you could drop the Spawning of Quetzl and give either your Scar-vet or your Oldblood the Spawning of Tepok for some extra DD.
    It'd give you 4 DD and 2 Scrolls in 2k, not too shabby.
