Welcome to Librarium Online!
Lookin' around at many of the other lists for a 2k pt. lizard army, I never see much use of the CoR. Well, I've got 'em (battallion box), so I may as well use 'em. From the few games I've played (only at 1k pts so far, I'm still new), when the CoR hit, they hit hard, and pretty much roll over whatever it was they were charging. So, I wrote up a list for a 2k pts army that I can work towards, I'm going to post it here and see what the general consensus is. I've been reading a fair bit on it, but I only have 3 games under my belt and as such I'm pretty green.
* Slaan â 4th Generation, Diadem of Power, Plaque of Protection, BSBâ 485 pts
* Scar Veteran â Blessing of Itzl, Shield of Maiming, Sword of Might â 157 pts
* 20 Saurus â standard, full compliment â 272 pts
* 16 Saurus â standard â 192 pts
* 11 Skinks â javelin/shield â pts
* 10 Skinks â javelin/shield â pts
* 10 Skinks â blowpipe â pts
* 10 Skinks â blowpipe, scouts â pts
* 8 Cold One Riders â full compliment â 330 pts
* 3 Kroxigors â pts
* 2 Salamander Hunting Packs â
* 1996 pts.
The general idea is, 2 sizeable blocks of Saurus and a large block of CoR will be my mainstay hitting power. Possibly run the CoR up one flank and try and roll it while the Saurus hold the line, or maybe use the CoR as bait b/t two units of Saurus, get a little ahead of the line, flee back from a charge to set up a flank charge for the Saurus blocks, that sort of thing. Harrassment will come from the 4 skink units, the 2 javelin groups for screening, the 2 blow pipe for stirring up trouble. 3 Krox for added power (vs. chariots/knights/anything nasty), and 2 salamanders for entertainment and melting skirmishers. The Vet on Cold One will lead the CoR, along w/Champion there is not much that front rank can't demolish (Champion can also absorb challenges, too). Slaan is 4th Gen., my only magic really. 6 power/dispell dice standard, can use the Diadem to shuffle it, figure that'd be decent offense/defense, nothing spectacular but a solid middle ground. The unit of 16 Saurus can be a unit to its own, or guard the Slaan depending on my opponents abilities to tie him up in combat. So...whatcha think? Decent? My main opponents for awhile will be a TK and O&G army (not sure how they will be composed yet though, they are just starting out like me).

I don't really play Lizardmen myself, but this looks like a good list appart from the following
- The unit of Saurus Riders is expensive in pts
- You need some skink priests to back up the Slann Mage Priest, otherwise he won't be worth his pts
- What do you mean by full compliments? If you mean all of the Spawnings, I don't think that you can take anymore than 1 on each unit... correct me if I'm wrong
"Well... that hurt" - Vampire Jon Skellan (Mannfred's right hand man) after being beaten up, falling down an underground waterfall and being impaled by a stalactite.
By full compliment ( should have specified) I meant Standard Bearer, Musician, and Champion. No Spawnings unless otherwise listed (Itzl is the only one used for the CoR). The point cost of those CoR was my biggest concern, I'm giving up a bit to be able to field them, so rather than being an auxilary unit (5 CoR for flank attacks), they can be more of a sledgehammer. Expensive, but very powerful. And I left the Slaan by himself b/c I wasn't too worried about magical domination, just not being crushed by it. I figured a level 4 Slaan would still have a decent chance of getting of a spell or two in the magic phase, and would have a decent ability to stop incomming spells in the dispell phase (especially w/the Diadem, I could have up to 8 dispel dice). But I may be wrong That's why I'm asking opinions. I could always drop the CoR to a unit of 5, which would free up 105 points. It'd make the unit hit softer, but I could use those points to make other units hit harder (with a blessing or two, a spear unit, some braves for the skinks, etc)... Haven't played enough games yet to know for sure.
Posted in the wrong section, i've also edited your post for points costs. Be a little more careful in the future
As for the list, i like it. I'd personally never run salamanders in less than 3. The large block of saurus cav is nasty, they should be able to autobreak anything they hit(Y)
