Sorry, I tried to post this under the army lists, but kept getting a message "You must enter a tag or tags when posting new threads. Tags are keywords describing the topic of the thread which can then be searched or bookmarked." but couldn't find anyplace to add tags.....
1,500 point army for a local tourney - first time using my lizardmen. General with a pack of saurus who are immune to Psych, BSB with another pack, Lvl 2 mage with the larger pack of skinks, terradons for war machine hunting, etc.
I would have liked to get some Saurus cav in, but am having trouble fitting them in. Any comments appreciated.

up near where the title is, it has a box for putting tags on your post. these are keywords for searches, just fill in some key words and it should be fine

without skinks, you only have two units (one with a priest in it too!) to cover 3 main units. the enemy won't have much trouble picking their targets. Actually, with your only magic defense in the skink unit (which would have to be screening if the rest of your army was to survive) I would target some spells their and finish the priest.
those units of 20 saurus should be 19 for the heroes to fit in them
I'd actually suggest cutting them to 14 each to fit in the skinks
your list is slightly hero-heavy.
I'd drop the priest, maybe toss in a couple of tepok spawnings (not too many though) and let the rest of the magic just hit you.
If you choose to keep the priest, drop the dispel scrolls, get the diadem. that means two more dispel dice! and if your enemy has absolutely no magic, then two power dice! hooray!
Thanks, will take a look a those options, I already have three specials (the Kroxigors, Terradons and the Tlazcotl spawning for the Saurus unit with the general), but if I drop them down to 15 each, lose the dispel scrolls and replace with the diadem (geez, they don't have that in my chaos army!), I can add another unit of skinks (rounding everyone to 12), and have some room for another sally hunting pack (for three).

but really, this is a great list, especially since it sounds like it's your fist. You nailed any changes that needed to be made as far as I could see.

I figured he was referring to my suggestion that he add some tepok spawning, since that is the only thing I said which could increase his special choices. My latter post was to point out that the tepok spawning can be taken on a hero without any restriction as to special unit numbers.
either way he seems satisfied with his priest, so the suggestion was not needed.

thanks for the comments, right on the general (know his spawning doesn't make him rare), I kept the priest, since I wanted the general's unit of saurus to have Tlazcotl spawning so they wouldn't be going anywhere depending on either getting plunked as they come across the board, or if they have to go up against OK or TK, that, with the terradons and kroxigors, gives me 3. Should be a fun list to play in a tourney. Thanks much
I had the same problem when posting my army list, the Tag box just doesnt appear, I posted it in the lizzy forum so can a mod move it please?
Nice list need a LOT more skinks. I would drop psycho-spawn as cold blooded works well enough for me. Im also a believer in Lizzy units not needing musicians as the cold blooded rule will suffice. These drops allow you at least 1 other unit of skinks. The 3 terradons you will have to be very careful with as they like dieing...alot.
Otherwise good list, you will rule combat but be walloped by shooting and shooty magic.
Thanks for the comments - since I haven't used the army, haven't worked out the usefulness of cold blooded, if an extra shot with L8 tends to hold them in place (ditto with musician), I guess that would work. Terradon best unit-size? Some wildly varying thoughts on different sites re: that - some say use just the 3 (which is all I have right now anyway), some say 8?
Should be fun.
