Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey I used to play WH (bout 10 years ago) and decided to give it another bash, but with the lizzies rather than my dwarfs. Here is my attempt at 2000 pts
Old Blood-211 Points
Great Weapon, Shield, Venom of Firefly Frog, Itzl, Cold One
Skink Priest-115 Points
Level 1 Lore of heavens 2 dispell scrolls
Skink Priest-130 Points
Level 2 Lore of Heavens Statuette of Spite
5 Saurus Cavalry-215
Champ, Banner Ride with old blood
Total Points 1998
Total Models 99
My plan is to have both saurus units as the centre of my battle line. Swarms and salamanders take one flank (the one with weaker troops) and General and cold ones and Kroxigors take other flank (with stronger units). Scouts go for warmachines and wizards and other skinks screen kroxigor and both saurus units. Level 1 priest is defensive and level 2 priest is more attacking. Hopefully Cold ones and Krox break through line where pincer move can form and swarm and salamanders kill the weaker troops and do the same thing. Dont know whether to give skinks blowpipes or javelins and shields (any thoughts?)

*Moved to army lists
I think this looks like a pretty strong list. My only concern is putting the salamanders on the opposite side of the table to your general. A well placed stone thrower shot and watch those lizards run
Maybe lose the LA or shield on your Oldblood to bring the list below 2k points?
Ok I'll drop the LA to get it below 2000.
I hadn't really thought about the Salamaner+Stonethrower=no slamander problem before. I think the salamanders could go with any of my flanking units as they work well if used with a strong combat unit, so I could put salamanders and cold ones on one side, and krox and swarms on the other. I just thought sallies weren't as useful against "elite" troops so I would plan to use them against normal low-T folks.
Sounds like a good idea(Y) Krox have a better leadership so they suffer the effects of panic slightly better. But I've lost my salamanders too many times to a failed panic check not to keep them near the general, at least when deployingI hadn't really thought about the Salamaner+Stonethrower=no slamander problem before. Just another quick update on this army, I plan to paint the saurus with bestial brown skin and DA green scales. The spines (and shields) will be blood red on one unit and sunburst yellow on another. The skinks will be DA green and have sunburst yellow/blood red/ultramarines blue crests (havent decided yet). The scouting skinks will be bestial brown with unknowncrest colour. The Krox will be blood red (I can imagine that looking cool) the sallies sunburst yellow and the cold ones ultramarine blue. As you can see I have a very small pallette, coming from me buying teh starter painting 10 years ago and thats it!
Anyone got any ideas on how they paint their lizzies?
mines Green skin, Dark Green scales with orange and dark red colour scheme pure and simple...
Two ideas. First, for painting I paint my guys Enchanted blue followed by blue ink. I keep the blue ink off of the chest though.
For the army list i would swap the great weapon for a halberd if he is going to be on a cold one as a great weapon gives only +1 strength on a mount and a halberd does the same without striking last. also give the saurus cav and regular saurus a musician because they need it. Both skink priests should be lvl 2 as you do not have a slann. maybe you could give a unit of saurus spears but that isn't so important
otherwise a great list
