unlike most questions asked here mine has to do with getting the opponent to play, in this case its my little bro hes convinced that the LM are overpowered compared to his orcs he has a decent force i try to get him to give it a try but hes just hellbent on his opinion.so my questions are 1:are we overpowered?2:how can i convince him to play more often?you the mob of LO must have come p with ways to do this.
1:find what makes him tick
2:stop the ticking
It is very easy to make an O&G army that doesn't work very well. I find new players often become frustrated with them.
You could offer to help him with his army.
Ultimately the best thing to do will be to switch armies. Build an army with his models and let him do the same with yours and play.
Depending on the circumstances he may just be a poor sport.
I have a friend who just goes berserk when he loses at anything competitive. If he's playing a game and dies he turns it off..if he loses a unit in WH he stops playing. He swore the game off eventually because he didn't want to learn how to play his army (which was TK ..not an easy army to learn )

id go with the swap army thing and see how that goes.
i play 40k ork alot and never win against another army (dark eldar) so we swapped and i still got creamed guess that proves i'm not very good but anyway swap armies and see wat happens thats what i say
and to any mods or seniors yes i know this isnt the 40k section but i was just backing up an opinion here.
‘Dere iz loadsa clanz in da Ooniverse, see? All of ’em ’cept one is proper Orkses, ’n’ da uver is proper Orkses too
– ’cept fer bein’ stinkin’ ’ooman lovin’ gits, dat is.’
We are strong but not overpowered. We are still living in 6th edition where he has the new shiny 7th edition army book. I think the orcs and goblins are fantastic and incredibly strong in the new book, not underpowered at all
I like the switch army idea.
I have used it myself from time to time. When my siblings lose and complain that my army list is to good or cheesy, i play with their list, beat them and say "see, told you so"
It just shows that your army is beatable.
Also, maybe his army list is tailored to a specific theme or to cater for his own likes/dislikes rather than being a balanced list.
If nothing else, post it on the orcs and gobbos forum and see what they say.Grimgor ironhide anybody??We are strong but not overpowered. I agree with stonehambey wholeheartedly,
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares, your a mile away and you have his shoes!!

I have been playing for quite a while, and I definitely do not feel that we are an overpowered army.
The problems that people seem to have with us are:
Granted Slann are powerful models, they are balanced by point cost. A Slann and his bodyguards take up over a third of your army, and knock out an additional hero and rare unit slot.
The biggest complaint I hear is about our skinks. Inexpensive models with poison, scout and skirmish. I had one guy complaining the other day because my skinks fell his giant. But to all those people I say, "so what". They may be good for their point cost, but they are also squishy and panic easily. If somebody wants to stop skinks, all they have to do is get them in combat and watch them die.
Salamanders. People need to get used to these guys. They are our only long range weapon (I don't count the giant bow because it's always marching). There are no longer penalties for shooting at them, and they eat their own squad.
Furthermore, our saurs (while excellent fighters) have a hefty point cost, we don't have any over-the-top magic items, we lack shooting, and our movement is on the medium-low end of the spectrum.
On top of that, our magic just took a bit of a nerf. Not a big one, but it happened. If you compare our lore with the others, we have less offensive spells that do less damage than others of equal casting levels. Granted comet was a bit of a problem, but the whole list has been dulled down to stop people from whining.
Our army wins because of one phase. Combat. We manage to get into, stay in, and win close combat. That's really the extent of our army (unless you have a slann, then you have some powerful offensive spells).
All in all, I am tired of people saying that lizardmen are overpowered and/or cheesy. This rant is not to attack anybody specifically, rather try to justify that lizardmen are actually just another average army.
If you want to see overpowered, look at High Elves (at least from a lizardmen perspective). High Elves will destroy your before you make it halfway across the board. First the magic you to death. Then They shoot the rest of you. Last time I played them, I lost my entire army by the start of my second turn. At that point I had 4 sarus left. That was it.
<End of Side A. Too continue this rant again, turn to Side B.>
are lizardmen overpowered?
no... and yes, it depends in whose hands the army is in i think the best course is to post your army then we can tell you if your abusing the list or not
and yes our list can be abused and not always intentionally i don't want to get into a thing about it lizards are just one of those lists you don't have to like it but it's true period.!!.

You could tell him to look in the LO forum for some advice to his list (depending on his age). Another possible idea maybe is play a certain scenario, such as the last stand, (you being the defender). Possibly, your lizzardmen can play couple hundred points down until he learns to use his army.
A final resort is to let him win )
