I just wanted to share something with all you lizardmen players about lord kroak. At my local GW store we have a fantasy player who usually finishes in the top ten in about every tournament he attends. Now, recently he has been playing a lizardmen army which features lord kroak and as many other skinks as he can fit in 2000 points along with 1 or 2 skink priests. In all his games with this list lord kroak has never died and i believe he has only lost once and to a dwarf player. It is obvious that he hasn't just been playing bad players, because he has played in a lot of tournies with this list. Why don't we see more of these lists? The key to beating this list is obviously to kill lord kroak but with 8 wounds and a 3+ ward save it is nearly impossible. Plus with his unit strength of 5 killing blow doesnt work against him. Finally all he has to do is sit way back in cover and look through his skink priests!!! Just wanted to share how totally unstoppable and mighty this list was!!!!! And i even saw a game where lord kroak incinerated 60 percent of a skaven army in one turn!!!!!
Yea Kroak can be a force to be reckoned with if you play him right. If not your going to get your butt kicked pretty damn fast because he is such a large chunk of your army.
He is not unbreakable.
Inducing panic tests would be a sure-fire way to defeat that army. Skinks have some of the crappiest leadership in the warhammer world and if you make them take tests they will flee like sissies.
I played that army recently in a tourney, its not that great. The only reason I didn't crush him was beause I am such a nice guy and took his word that he moved Kroak out of LoS although he was marched blocked and it seemed like a very long shot and I had LoS when I declared the charge. Also he was lucky with his Krox saves, ld rolls, and flee rolls.
BTW I was running a top comp all Orc army.
2009 Tourny records (W-L-D) (20-4-4):

Lord kroak crumples in combat.
If a unit of flyers or fast cavalry or something gets to him your in trouble.
Without the protection of a unit he will lose combat simply be being outnumbered and eventually they will wound him.
It only takes one failed leadership test from him (unlikely but possible) and you lose the game.
Also, if he is in combat he can't cast offensive spells.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares, your a mile away and you have his shoes!!
Chuck Norris invented water
Great story, but....
using Kroak is VERY risky, if you use him and he dies, you cannot win.
The Rep Thumb is to the left of my post, in case you didn't see it.
