He will be in a tournie with Bret, Skaven, Wood Elves, Orcs and Chaos. Will prob fight 3 of these armies, so he has to be a bit flexable.
+1 attack on charge
Aura of Quetzl 4+ save vs St5
Dispell Scroll x2
Venom of Frog (poison, magic)
On the charge 6 ST7 poison and magic attacks. Plus the carny.
I need the extra Dispell scrolls.
3+ armour save 4+ vs st5 or more.
What does everyone think? Do you have better combo ideas? What do you use?

Just so your aware, it is against forum rules to post stats or individual stats of copyrighted material. (Any material in a warhammer armybook or 40k codex is copyrighted material.)
You may want to remove all those individual point costs and replace them with a unit total instead; that being the combined points for that model/unit/regiment with all the upgrades and gear included.
I don't really play warhammer much anymore, but five hundred points for one mounted model seems like an awful lot even in this game. (Where its about having regiment upon regiment of 'cheap' troops while a couple expensive heroes and lords lead them to victory.)
Take my love, take my land, take me to where I cannot stand; I don't care I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me.

What size is the game?
He is only str 6 on the charge, you only get +1 for being mounted with a great weapon which is why I usually give my carnosaur riding old blood a spear or magic weapon such as Revered Blade.
Hes quite a big point sink so expect people to gun for him, I have not had favourable experiences with ym carny riding old blood, I find it much better to give him a Cold One and stick him with some riders.
gah! Individual points totals! *burns eyes*
Erm, I'm surprised no-one has pointed out that your Oldblood can't take scrolls, so that saves you 50pts right there! ^_^
I'd swap his bs of quetzl for the enchanted shield and give him the scimitar. That's 8 attacks on the charge with a 2+ save and the ward. And he's also cheaper to boot! You can drop the great weapon and the venom as well.
As for expensive characters being a points sink. They can be, but they can also be game winners.
Sorry for the numbers and what each item does. Thanks for editing it for me. Will not happen again.
I come from Dwarf and 40k, so I am not up on my mounted rules or scroll taker rules, so thanks for that also!!
I guess I will rework him big time.
Sorry dudes, will not happen again!!! Thanks for fixing it for me.
I come from the 40k and Dwarf camp so I did not know the scroll or cavalry rules. I will rework him big time.
It is a 2000 point game, and I do want to use him, he looks fun to use. Any other sugestions?
Yeah he is massively fun to use, can easily chomp his way through a flank on a good day but I find him hit and miss and not entirely reliable. He is also a magnet for pretty much everything your opponent can throw at him.
If you want to be competitive the Old Blood on foot or Cold One or even the Slann is more competitive in my opinion. With the dice on your side and an favourable terrain your Old Blood on Carny will have fun and cause your opponent grief.
Good luck ^^
OK, so no numbers!
4+ ward vs St5
+2 attacks sword
+1 att on charge
So he will have 7 normal attacks, 8 on the charge
1+ close combat save with a 4+ ward vs. st5
A little under 500
What thinks thee?
looks good, if you wanted you could also devout a unit of Saurus Cavalry with magic banner of Haunchi to ride with him giving a boost in your movement to ensure a charge, though that would be a even bigger point drop...though your probably gonna have a unit of cavalry anyways
