Hi, I have enough room in my army for two Saurus Scar Vets. Does anyone have any sugestions or ideas what to give them like what blessed spawning or magic weapons. I've been toying with them and giving them stuff like venom of the fire fly frog and the maiming shield and those kind of things.
I'd suggest an improved version of the JSoD and a BsB
-scar veteran, blessed by quetzl and tlazcotl, equipped with sword of striking, charm of the jaguar-warrior, and shield
-scar veteran, blessed by quetzl and tepok, carrying the battle standard, equipped with the (don't know the name) 5+ ward save
It's better, it's shiny, it's warped...it's Chaos.
BSB and JSoD is a good shout, although I prefer the cheaper JSoD build myself. Give him sotek and a great weapon and watch him smash stuff up! ;Y
they seem like good setups there, where the JSoD is a must and so is the BSB.
for the JSoD I usually kit him out with the following:
Saurus Scar-Veteran w/ GW, LA, CotJW and the Enchanted Shield,
this beauty has the S7 attacks for those crunching moments, superb speed and maneouverability. It will also have a 1+ save in CC against infantry for that staying power as well as a decent 2+ save against anything else! in this setup, I have a good, hard hitting character kitted out to counter almost anything that comes his way.
He's cheap on the points, of which I can spend on other (more important) areas ^_^
A thing of beauty really.
As for the BSB. I'm stumped here because I've never considered it, Always gave it to my 2nd Gen. Slann! or not at all when I go for my 'Two Brothers' force - my choice on that front but, it never let me down
There's literally LOADs of combos that you could kit your characters with and there's only one way to find out which one truly belongs to you, that is to play with them and find out through your own experience. That's the cool thing about this hobby:happy:
Hope this helps,
Does the Charm of the Jaguar Warrior rub off if he's in a unit of saurus, like do the saurus get to move 9" as well?
