Right now I'm running with two 25 Saurus blocks combined with 6 units of Skinks and am having reasonably good luck with them. I'm considering adding a third 25 man block and dropping my Krox's, Chameleon Skinks, and 2 units of Skinks.
Is 3 too much?

Honestly, I consider ONE block to be too many. However, I think two would be the limit for them. It seems like three would have some trouble with manuevering on the battlefield and still maintain their usefulness. If you have already tried it or plan on doing it anyways, post how it went.
I personnaly think thatthe other units are to awsome to loose but you have to experiment and try new things I would say take 5 from each unit of saurus warriors and a single unit of skinks and then you have 15 saurus
Skinks are the most valauable part of a lizardman army. They dictate the pace at which the rest of the game occurs. I tend to run 13-15 'man' units and about 2 or three of those plus on scouting. Skinks are what poke your enemy into coming near you and they screen the other units. Kroxies are good as they are s7 which is chariot/knight/anything killer esp on the charge.
Maybe drop your chameleon skins, take 5 saurus from each unit and drop one of your 6 units of skinks to make up the points difference and have 3 x 20 saurus ?
One more Saurus unit. and you LOSE Krox!? (let alone the 3 skink units too lol) Krox beat saurus hands down, faster, stronger, Skink screening. Personally its a no from me.
I'm going to have to agree with the others because although SW's are extremely powerful against other core units. they get slaughtered by anything higher then str 5 and I'd rather have killing power with skinks w/ blowpipes then a decent close combat core.
I've always either ran 2 or 1 block of saurus/temple guard. I've been very competitive with either and imo 3 would be too much.
I say go for it
