Anyone got any tips for taking down Dark Elf Hydras?
i figure the key has got to be using flame attacks with magic/salamanders, plus i know the carnosaur gets a useful bonus against large targets.
I just don't get how these monsters can be so cheap in terms of points and yet so deadly.
Don't try attacking these guys with kroxigors or standard attacks because they have an uncanny ability to kill your ancients and then regenerate all their wounds
please give me a hand here guys! thanks....
i'm only thankful my DE opponent hasn't yet tried two or three hydras in his army as it was cost him about the same as a small unit of saurus cavalry would cost me. Bring on the new lizardmen book!
I feel your pain, I have only played against a Hydra once, and it still managed to drop 4 ironguts and a Bruiser... (fleeing combat resolution)
They are way too undercosted for their power level if you ask me.
I would try to take it down with a skink unit. Posion attacks = dead hydra.
A unit of 4 kroxigors that get the charge can be deadly. Might not kill him the first round, but if you can stay in the combat a a few rounds, the thing will die.

I would say blowpipe him for a while and then use the carnisaur. Kroxigors will kill it in a round o 2 if you have 4 12 strenght 7 hits

Daemonic cheese-how? Well, you would need to start with daemonic milk, i guess...
