Posting some pics of my currently painted Lizardmen. Wanted to do something different so I decided to paint them orange and red instead of blueish. I'm quite pleased with the results, although I've only painted a fraction of my army ;P
A couple of skinks with javs. Havn't put on their shields yet and their not shadowed.
And the ones that are shadowed, using dipping method at the moment although I'm convering to just paint after getting convinced by some fellas..
...and the Handlers.
One Saurus warrior, not mounted his shield either Going to remove the redish thing on his weapon later on.
And my beloved priest
That's all I've done so far, hope you enjoyed it!
I think the skinks are the hardest ones to paint. I also agree that there should be far less blue skinks. They look like my friend's paint scheme kind of. He does a volcano swamp theme and has them painted red, with yellow scales.
Great job, any fluff behind the colors?
Nice, the red looks better on them than i expected. It's always nice to see some variation between armies.
Personally I'm going with a base yellow colour scheme, and painting my slann based on the poison dart frog or at least one of it's variants.
Keep up the good work!
Long ago when the Old Ones still trod this earth a long forgotten Old One known as Dulux the many coloured built a temple to himself, over millenia the temple started to sink into the lake of bright coulour surrounding it. When the polar gates collapsed the shockwave ruptured the caverns beneath the temple and the lakes drained away into the soil. Only now after millenia of the couloured liquid seeping into the soil are the effects of the coloured lakes revealing themselves. the emberscales, the first spawning of the newly coloured pools have emerged bearing with them out of the deeps a sacred plaque bearing prophecy of more to come.
Hmmm i have too much spare time to spend this long deciphering wierd glyphs...
