I was wondering if Gor Rok is worth using or if I should just use a scar veteran with a 2+ scaly skin and a 5+ ward. He is not that hard to kill as there is no ward or regeneration. Scaly skin 3 is not that hard to by pass but he is hardy enough all the same. He seems to pack a desent puch nothing spectacular. He is also cheap enough. I just can't make up my mind.
Daemonic cheese-how? Well, you would need to start with daemonic milk, i guess...
I quite like Gor-Rok, I usually pack him in a unit of Spear-wielding Saurus Warriors to get the most of him. Gor-Rok can be very useful against enemy cavalry and other units that you know will most likely get the charge since he negates the charge bonuses of those he faces. Meaning you'll strike at initiative...ok so you'll most likely still be striking last most of the time but any strength bonus from spears or lances are negated.
While he doesn't have a ward save, he's immune to killing blow and has the ability to force the enemy to re-roll successful rolls to wound, which at T5 is already a hard enough thing to do especially if they don't get their charge bonuses. To top it off he is the most reasonably affordable special character point wise.
