Gid-day I need some help wiht the rules of the movement of stegadons as this guy I played, used It as

1.Chariot- can pivot 360 degrees

2.monster- can march and can move through terrain

3.warmachine- can turn on spot and dosen't count as moving

I was sceptical about the stegadon moving as a combination of all three can anyone out there give me a hand

Thanks

All men can see the tactics whereby I conquer,
but what none can see is the strategy out of which victory
is evolved.

Well checking the rules it counts as a ridden monster, so that means it's movements is the same as a normal unit. Except in that it can pivot freely on the spot, other than that it's governed by all the normal rules for units.

So it can't move through terrain freely, the war machine thing  ... No but the great Bow does have 360 degrees LOS.

I think your mate's conning you, check the BRB under monsters. Or get him to show you the page in the LM book where it says the Stegadon can do these things.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was conning me, he takes the game too seriously and has gained a reputation of having a "rubber rulebook" (that means he can bend it).
I asked him tio show me in the Lizardmen book however he started saying that it was on a Q'n'A off the internet. I dropped it though as he was yelling and I didn't want to cause a commotion. However I told him don't believe everything off the internet as some guy could've just typed it up. (Look it says here on the internet that VC always automatically win every single battle)

I originally thought it was just a monster with a big bow. ie it moves like a ridden monster, and has a bow ith 360 degree LoS.

So it moves like a monster, not a chariot.

Coss this was the thing that stuffed me as I had my banshee directly opposite his stegadon, (what with Ld 5) but he just pivoted marched arout to the other side of the battlefield

He's a cheater. He shouldn't be playing the game. Just don't play him anymore.

(You're right, he shouldn't be doing that. Illegal)

I guess he'd take a Monster Reaction test.

Yeah, he has to take monster reaction test. That 'Walked back home' you mentioned is something you can get on that test, run for the closest table edge i believe.

as soon a all the skinks die it takes a ld test, if it fails it rolls on the table and follows the result for the rest of the game i believe.

To go on about stegadon rules...
What if you put a priest or a chief (basicly, a hero) in the stegadon and the stegadon gets killed? Does the hero survive or does it get "crushed" when the stegadon falls down? And also, does the same rule apply to all ridden monsters (unless stated differently off course)?

I haven't found this in the rulebook yet...

tnx!
