When I was responding to Cpeerson2000's post on Gor-rok, it occurred to me that Gor-rok is potentially a tarpit unit. He has Toughness 5, all successful rolls to wound against him must be re-rolled, he's immune to Killing Blow and has a 3+ save. This mean that it's hard to wound him, let alone kill him. Not only that, he strikes before any chargers and has 4 attacks hitting on 3's with re-rolls and probably wounding on 2's. Against the average unit he'll kill about 3 models. Therefore the enemy shouldn't get any attacks back assuming an attack's been directed onto the champion.
Gor-rok should take no wounds but lose combat. He's stubborn and cold-blooded. So what do you think of that? A single model will hold up an entire enemy unit.
i havent read the rules for him but if hes got all that then WTF!!!! ill love half of specail characters to have those rules
but dont get me wrong i love lizardmen if i get another armie they are it but still some of they're specials character are just seem like WTF!!

Yes he's a tar-pit. I assume however he is not immune to psch? If so, then he'll still need snake-eyes against any fear causers...
Yeah, he is really good at standing his ground, my issue is that he doesn't end up doing a TON in return though. Granted you can tie up stuff for flanks and what have you. He's rather bland in my opinion, decent, but bland.

Yeah, Gor-rok isn't a true tarpit. I just checked and he isn't immune to psych, so against those fear-causers he'll probably run.
Are you serious? Gor-rok would actually kill one or 2 of them. Just raise a huge unit of zombies and send it into him. Unless he manages to kill 4 zombies, he's gonna be fleeing.
As with the other saurus characters, he is a good add to a temple guard unit. Would serve as a very good anvil unit against brets / empire etc as he denies charge bonuses.
I'd say Gor-rok is a good addition to any unit. He's great in combat.
