I'm not sure i would ever use him but has anyone noticed what could be a major flaw in how his rules are designed as to his usefulness? ill exaplain what i mean.
Basically as a lord choice you would be reserved about taking a skink no matter his stats, Tenehauin at least has the saving grave of riding a stegadon or failing that counts as being a swarm base. He also gets the great bonus of being a level 2 mage with lore of beasts, giving you bears anger as your base spell...
...now this is where im not sure wether it was thought through, or had been desiegn puposefully to stop it...
Bears anger, somthing you would deffinatly want to chuck on Tenehauin given the oppertunity, can only affect unit strength 1, none mounted models.
Tenehauin, if i get this right, can only be mounted, or as a swarm, unit strength 3, meaning he cannoy use Bears Anger upon himself meaning you would be rellying on any scar vets or cheifs to carry the spell off.
If this is right does it not make Tenehauin even more worthless in game terms than he already appears?
You are correct, and I never thought he was that good either. Even if he could cast it on himself, I don't think he would be worth it.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Same, he always seemed really guff to me.
Well he's still awesome for a skink 3 WS 4 s5 on the charge poisoned attacks + d6 s2 poisoned attacks.
There are other good beasts spells!
He has a 5+ ward makes all skinks hate skaven, and is unbreakable if i remember correctly.
He's also Ld8
You shouldn't feel bad about taking a skink as the general, you should feel honoured that there is a skink to be taken as the general!
