Hi everyone, I am having trouble with my lizards. When the first book came out I was able to win games by using the new trick and big saurus blocks. But as time went along people became used to the tricks and I was constantly losing. So i tried to change it up and try one big block of saurus with 2 10 saurus units and some 2 rank skinks for charge redirectors. but even that didn't work out so well. Which works better in your opinion? big blocks or smaller units? Also what do people think of using a single jungle swarm instead of 2 ranks skinks for redirections?
I prefer blocks of saurus of 18-20 strong. Always have spears, command is optional. As for swarms, it is very hard to redirect with one, as they are skirmishers, and you rank up to the charger, not him to you. Because of that, you need a minimum of 2 to accomplish anything.
What tricks were you using anyway? Are you running a slann, oldblood, or playing in games below 2k?
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
I agree with SirKently about Saurus blocks needing to be 18-20 strong and always having spears (it's almost like its not an option anymore). Skinks are much better at redirecting units than Jungle Swarms.
every army can field large blocks, but it is what you support them with is what makes your army. The Lizardmen army is a very mobile army, with a good part of the army being movement 6. If you use mobility to your benefit, and get skink skirmishers/salamanders/razordons in the right position, they can easily pay for their points.
Not to mention, the Engine of the Gods is beastly now
