Just have a question as to what lore I should use for my Slann i just realized i can take a whole lore and wondering what you think is best?

You choose the lore at the beginning of each game. So you're not limited to using always one.
You pick whatever will hurt your opponent most.
Against daemons and undead you take light.
Life is good on terrain heavy maps and against warmachine heavy armies
Fire is a agreat all rounder
Death is god like against armies with lower LDs
Shadow is great against all low I armies (inlcuding other LM armies!)
Metal is good against war machine heavy lists and heavily armoured lists (WoC, dwarves, bretts)
Beast again is an excellent all rounder aswell as good against cav heavy lists
Don't take heaven. That's what priests are for.

As was said, the optimal lore tends to vary from opponent to opponent. It's all about poking around with a few and find out what works.
Well, what has been said so far is absolutely true. To answer the question though, if I had pick my lore before knowing what my opponent was fielding it would be the Lore of Beasts.
Actually now that I think about it, this is a valid question since technically you are supposed to pick your spells before any army deployment.
So if you play with closed lists you would have to choose a lore without knowing who or what your opponent has chosen as his army.

i like goin with lore of beasts and have had relative success with it.
in my last game i managed 2 make my opponents dragon cower for 3 turns b4 it mangaged 2 do summat lol also its a low caster 2 so i dont hav 2 worry bout wasting dice since i just need my slanns regular and free dice 2 cast every spell
but if ur eva unsure id just go with lore of fire since burning things is always fun and making ur loly old slann or skink priest hit on 2s regardles at s6 is a deffinate +
I think most of the lores are good in one way or another, the only one I'd never take on a Slann is light, its just got too many naff spells and the only really good one is too short range to be effective from a Slann.
Death and beasts are my favourite general purpose lores, but I have used life to very great effect when there is a lot of terrain around.

i like going with lore of beasts and have had relative success with it.
in my last game i managed to use beast cowers on my opponents dragon and prevent him from doing anything for about 3 to 4 turns before he managed to do anything with it, also another positive is that it has low casting values meaning that my slan can simply use his regular power dice and one of the free dice he gets from focused rumination to cast every spell.
however if u are unsure about which lore to choose i would just go with lore of fire since burning things is always fun and making your lowly old slann or skink priest hit on 2's at strength 6 regardless is a definate plus.
