I just went through the Lizardmen armybook yesterday, and something appeared to me. If I move my Skinks and shoot multiple shots at long range I actually hit my enemy on 7, therefore I do not benefit from poison, am I right ?
Correct, if you need greater than a 6 to hit, poison doesn't apply.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Therefor you should try to make sure your skinks only get 2 modifiers when shooting at the enemy. Moving to short range and multiples, long range and multiples, moving & long range with single shots, long range and single shots against enemy skirmishers etc. it goes on and on. Try to avoid that 3rd modifier.
I've got a unit of 5 chameleons, they've got BS4, which makes this easier because they can get 3 modifiers and still have poisoned shots.
