Hi all, I was wondering if a unit of 6 kroxigor is a viable option. Their low initiative and WS is their weakness but when they are swinging they have quit a punch with a good movement range. I there a reason why a unit of 6 is not used often?
It is a viable unit. It isn't used often mainly because of the price of the unit, along with only being toughness 4. Too many things can hurt them, though a unit of 6 on the flank might be useful.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
In my opinion its bc of several reasons . 1. In the last edition coc was better and cheaper.2. They are gna take a lot of fire from the enemy if they have any ranged weapons the kroxes will be the targets unless u have several stegs, so your unit of 6 becomes 3 really fast! 3. They just don't stand up to other ogre class troops for what they cost, not to mention the lack of command options for a big unit of 6 or more which they need with the new common place being big blocks of inf! You're better off with another unit of chameleon skinks and another salamander or 2 or giving your kroxes some protection by running them with skinks.
I'm not a big fan of the Chameleons a bit to expensive for such a unit. I'm starting an army and I'm checking the best list possible, or the most fun one. Salamanders score very high on my wishlist. Thanks for the replies!
