Apologies if this is covered somewhere. I just wanted to check my understanding is right, and I haven't missed a relevant rule somewhere. For <2000 pt armies, I used to take one, perhaps two engine of the gods. Under the new rules it seems that for (eg) a 1500 pt battle, I can only just afford an engine of the gods (355 pts, whereas 25% of 1500 is 375), and I can't afford to make that a level 2 priest on it. Previously I could get that, maybe get a second priest as well.
Is that right? or is there some special rule where the mount will count as my special or rare choice or something?
No it's right. I was playing the Engine of the God every game in 7th but in 8th, I still have to align one of them in my list.
To take an Engine of the God is a huge sacrifice, now that the BSB is becoming so good : hard to have both of 'em in the same list when you play a game with < 2000 pts.
Battle Standard Bearer.
And you reading it right, only one engine at 1.5k.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
