Just a few quick questions:
What would be a better "Hero's" choice in a 1000pt game v.s Tomb Kings a Scar-Vet, a Skink Priest or a Skink Chief?
& would a squad or 2 of Salamanders &/or Razordons be good to take against most armies?
I'd go with a Scar Vet in 1000 points. You can even pull off two. Halberds and light armor for 4 S6 attacks and a 3+ armor save. Also, I find salamanders work much, much better against all armies.
Indeed take the Scar-vet,
A priest wouldnt be sufficient to counter the magic that TK will generate, let alone be strong enough to cast some stuff himself.
A Chief is good for supportive roles or on a steg. But then you either need a scar vet or a slann to accompany it. (I still like the chief on terradon with pirhana blade and bane head).
A Scar vet is always a good option. Hits hard, tough to kill and high WS. Only downside is its Initiative... but I think TK has low I values as well.
About the hunting pack. Go salamander! The template weapons are really great against big units, or units of cav. I do think TK is ItP so they wont go running... but you will be burning them heaps at a time!
cool thanx for the advice.
i will say salamanders for horde units like TK and skaven and razadon for expensive units like HE OK and like i am not that good at heros and lords so cant help you there
