Just tinkering with some different set ups for Lizards and was wondering if anyone has run a Krox-Star
The idea I want to try out is to use 18 Kroxigor-- run 6x3 for horde rules, meaning potentially all of them can throw down their attacks, and have a Slann babysit them with Lore of Light
Slann would run with-- arabyan carpet, cupped hands, focused rumination, focus of mystery (Light), higher state of consciousness, and becalming cogitation (to protect the star from enemy magic), BSB (to let them re-roll that LD9 from the Slann)
Slann comes out to 545 pts, the rest of the star comes out to 990 pts. With Lore of light, the Slann can drop speed of light and birona's time warp on the star and effectively make them WS 10, Init 10, Movement 12(!), ASF (balances out great weapons so refer to Init 10), str 6 with 4 attacks each. That means that if all of the kroxigors get into BtB they will throw down 72 attacks.
That is pretty crazy. Any thoughts?
It is a nice idea but let me correct some things
They have 3 attacks
And the maximum a stat can be is 10 so movement 10 not 12
If u get the 2 buffs on u will get
54 str 6 ASF with reroll misses and the 6 in the front get stomp too which is insane
You should cause 39.6 wounds before saves assuming your target is T 4 or less without the stomp attack
The problem finding someone wide enough to get all attacks in and the point cost of the unit
With the lore of light spell, any unit doubles their movement, it's not "Movement is increases to x." So technically, they can move 12, March 24
Also, monstrous infantry only get a max of 3 supporting attacks, so it'd only be 60 Attacks. It's alright thought to a unit, it's easily taken down by any shooting, as a Kroxigors toughness is 4 and only has a 4+ scaly skin.
