I was wondering why I don't see any terradons in lizardmen lists anymore since 8th eddition came out? I don't personally play them but I'm trying to help out a friend that does in making a list for an upcoming tournie. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this will be his first large tournament for fantasy
Dont know if people use or dont use them but they have their values. I would say that against gunlines they are very well worth the points as warmachine hunters.
Dont have the book atm, but i think they are fast cav...ish. Så they should get a vangaurd move. If you have the first turn you can move 32" in one go; very impressive if i say so myself. On your flying move you can try and go over fast cav or archers and drop your rocks on em. Then you try and shoot the warmachines just because you can. Second turn comes a knocking and its by by warmachine (dwarfs might be tricky, hellcannon eats you).
What puts me off them is that i just dont have the cash to buy them xP starting an eldar army and thats priority. But in my mind LM dont have a better warmachine hunter than terradons so if you need those cannons dead, these are your guys.
They do get vanguard and stomp. so they are nice but pretty situational, I very helpful against them little dwarves, I some times toss a chief with pharana blade and hunt casters down.
as i hae played with lizardmen for about 2 years i know what not to take in the lizardmen army but terradons are ok they do have some down points though like how thy dont have an armour save so sometimes a unit of 10 hand gunners could take a unit of like 3 so there is some good points get vanguard but they dont get stomp because they am classed as flyin cav. but its up to if you want to take them or not.

I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
