Do any of you lizardmen players think that we should get our own magic lore, like a lot of races do?
You already have acess to all 8 basic lores and High magic. How about you get your own Lore at the expense of those 9, like most other armies have to do?
Do we get the high lore?
Pleas read your army book, it tends to exlain alot there. No you do not have access to the High Elf lore, the only thing you gain from that lore is the Drain Magic spell.
I agree that we should not get our own lore, it just makes the army more able to be fought against since the Slann and priests would only have one lore to cast from. But it would mainly affect the Slann more than the priests since the priests can only choose from Lore of Heavens.
Yes i did and thats why I asked. But high elves get all 8 lores and their own...
But slaan can cast spells alot more efficiently than arch mages and can mix and max spells from different lores, plus our hero level wizards have what is probably the best lore for killing stuff. I like shadows and fire aswell though.

Well, the High Elves are a race which is very sensitive to magic and studies it alot. I'm not surprised they've got their own magic.
While the Slann are more like complete masters of magic who can just cast anything they'd like from the Eight Winds of Magic. They don't need anything of their own because they have everything.
From another point of view, you could say that the Elves use their own magic to define themselves in the magic area. While the Slann don't need that. When they were first created, they were the only ones to use magic. And they simply wouldn't care to define themselves, they're above that sort of thing.
What I would really like to see in the Lizardmen magic department:
Tzunki Priests use Life instead of Heavens
Sotek Priests can choose between Beasts and Lore of the Serpent (Amazon Priestess' Lore)
Priests with Blessed Mark of the Old Ones can choose any one of the rulebook Lores
Having Marks effects the Lore selection of Priests in normal Lustrian (non-Sacred Host) and Southlands lists.
That's what Lizardmen magic needs, IMHO, and it'd sorta give them their own Lore as well.
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD
Also, if the Slann were the first to use magic, then the lores that we can use ARE the Slanns own lore. All the other races just have taken that lore and used it on their own.Originally Posted by Araith
