I was reading an article on lizardmen recently and i read about something called the flying skink of doom. It's similar to the JSoD. It basically works by giving a chief the cloak of feathers and putting him in a scouting unit. He then flies out of the unit and attacks war machine/mages etc.
Has anyone used this guy? How succesful was it? It seems to be a pretty cool idea me!:ninja:
my freind used something like that except he used a skink preist with the cloak of feathers. he flewit behind my lines and cast magic at the bakc of my units. it worked well until my archers got to him lol
I used the FSoD in a game against empire. It charged his hellblaster before it ever got to be usefull and killed his crew in 1-2 turns. It was about to charge into his other cannon next when we both had to go home. It works pretty good but can get up to around 100 points. All it really does is the terradon's job which they are more effective at IMO.
However, it is very fun to use when your oponent doesn't expect it and since I was playing SL it fit in the fluff of the army quite nice.
Well, Skink chiefs are the best character choice for Lizardmen, so it sounds like an excellent idea.
