I'm wondering what you do with the old Skink models, armed with bows, if you have any.
My friend bought some, what should he use them as in games. Should I let him?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
He could just use em as regular skinks. I wouldn't begrudge him using them in games if its only a friendly. At my gaming club we're not really bothered if old/broken models are used. Its only a bit of funOriginally Posted by Pierced53

I don't hold it against anyone if they don't have the exact model. I know this game can be expensive at times. The only thing I do like is for the model representing something to at least be on the same size base for movement/targeting reasons.
I use old skinks all the time if my armies ever have more than 24 skinks. However, I don't imagine it would be very hard at all to convert the shortbow into a blowpipe. You could just cut it off stick something straight there and maybe make the tip thicker but even that isn't necessary. The only challenge would be converting them to skinks with javs and shields(or hand weapons if you play SL) for a tournament. Even then the only reason it's a challenge for me is cause I'm terrible at conversions.
Southlands skinks can have bows..
it does mean playing a southlands army though.
Converting them to skinks with blowpipes or skinks with javs aren't too hard, just need a lot of patience. I converted all 32 of my old skinks.... . Just be prepared for a few nicks on the finger with the exacto knife...
