    About Saves?

I was going to ask this in the Rules section, but it involves Scaly Skin, so I'll ask here.

Does Scaly Skin count as an Armor Save? Or a Ward Save? Does a Ward Save get added-on to you Armor Save, simply becasue it's a save? I'm kinda confused with this sasve stuff, and I need to get it right for my Scar-Veteran.

But I do get the Weapons Skill/Strenght vs Toughness stuff.

    Thanks in advance.

Well scaly skin counts as an armour save, and it can be increased with armour, so if I have a scaly skin save of 5+, and I put on light armour, I now have an armour save of 4+. Ward saves are a little different, if you have a ward save of 5+, that's what you get, you take an armour save, and if it fails you take a ward save. ward saves can never be improved, if the item grants a 5+ ward save then that's what you get, no amount of armour will make it better. You always get your ward save, it's not modified by strength like armour is. One last thing on ward saves, you can only have 1 ward save, if you have 2 items that give you a ward save, then you choose the best one.

Scaly skin is an armour save but as far as i remember it can be modified by wearing light/heavy armour. But not a ward save, a ward save is an unmodifiable save and a ward save will be present in profile (usually due to magic armour/items/weapons)

Scaly skin counts as an armour save so yes it is modified by strength
WS has nothing to do with your armour save.

    The rules for saves are
    roll to hit
    roll to wound
    make your save,
modify your save depending on your opponents strength (if apllicable).

Hope that helps i wont post exactly what strength modifies a save as direct rule printing is against copyright and its all in your rule book anyway so look there

    make your save,
modify your save depending on your opponents strength (if apllicable).
Just switch those around to avoid confusion.

This makes the rules for saves

    Roll to hit
    Roll to wound
Modify save due to strength or magical items (if applicable)
    Take save
    Take Ward save if applicable

    Regards
