I am just getting into WHFB, and dont know much about the game yet, as I have yet to get the rule book, but here are some basic questions I have. OK, so I decided to collect lizardmen 'cuz they're way cool and seem to be a solid army, based on what i've read, but does it matter what color scheme I use when I paint them? Also, I have have read some places that you cannot use certain outdated figures, and I was wondering if I could use my old Slann figure that I have acquired, or if I have to get a newer model in order to use it. I appreciate any help provided.
You can paint them any colour you want, and use whichever figures you want. As long as they are the same base size
They dontt ALL have to be the same bases, just the same base size in each unit.
Just clearing that up
Thanks for the answeres
Well if your using saurus for instance they have to be on 25mm bases, no smaller, no bigger. So you have to use the base size that comes with the model. For models you have to use GW model if you plan on going to tournament, and even playing in store games, depending on how strict the manager at the store is. But you can use any old GW model you wish, so you can use a 5th edition slann, aslong as he is on a 50mm base.
ok thanks for the clarification
