If you are starting out, this is the thread to read. I am hereby asking all seasoned Lizardmen players to come forth with their thoughts on starting a Lizardmen army.
The purpose of this topic is to preven a swarm of "hi, im new to Lizardmen. Got any starter tips?" and "What units should I get?" type posts, and gather all such stuff riiiight in here.
So, new aspireing Lizardmen generals, feel free to ask questions about starting a Lizardmen army in this topic, and all Lizardmen generals who knows their army well, feel free to share your ideas on starting such a force with the new kids.
All other posts that i feel should belong in this topic, will be deleted.
I did it for tomb kings i'll do it now.skink priests are great heavens magic can scout movement six and cheap points cost get at least 1. It never hurts to have a saurus scar veteran who can boost up your attacking strength and mounted on a cold one they are even better 3d6 pursue! But stupidity is bad but high leader ship and cold blooded helps a lot.. Have at least one box of saurus they are the main body of the army. You can even consider giving them a spawning to make them special but it is not worth makeing them rare for two spawnings. Skinks should be next because they can skirmish and can make a protective screen in front of the saurus well they get in to battle and they are cheap with mltiple shot blowpipes socan be useful. Hopes this helps.
In the end there is only war.
What about Southland Skink Tribes, or whatever they're called? Any advice for them?
Yes,my advice is to not use the southlands army. Your entire army has T2 and no rank bonus, and very little H2H power.
What about stegadons, Iv never seen a list with one, why?

Just how good an armor save can a block of Saurus Warriors have?
No the Southlands army does get rank bonus in thier new Skink 'Cohort' units. I still wouldn't use them though, unless you want a real challenge.Yes,my advice is to not use the southlands army. Your entire army has T2 and no rank bonus, and very little H2H power.3+, Hand Weapon + Shield, Scaly Skin, Sacred Spwaning of Quetzl, does make them Special Choices thoughJust how good an armor save can a block of Saurus Warriors have?Perhaps the games you have seen are too small for a Stegadon to be worth taking, in which case the cheap (ish) Salamanders are more useful. What about stegadons, Iv never seen a list with one, why?

What is the difference between all the different generations of slaan priests.
Destruction is the work of an afternoon. Creation is the work of a lifetime.
well a second generation slann is very difficult to kill and it's magical arsenal it not something to be sniffed at, it gives a lot of magic firepower, and you usually dominate the magic phase
