starting up a lizardmen army but am not sure about the blue in the codex, it looks like its been PAINTED, so any colour schemes would be a blessing..and does using "chaos black spraypaint effect your overall paint job"?
thanks in advance luke
im not sure what oyu mean by it look slike its been painted...
regardless, saurus and skinks are/are going to be yellow skin, green scales, and then dipped, i get so many compliments on the ones ive done so far. the remaining choices in the book will retain the color they are in the book.
as for what color ot paint yours, you should look at nature, look up poison tree frogs, lizards, skinks, geckos, etc etc etc. more importantly go with what you think looks good.
chaos black coveres models better than white does, but white makes colors so much more vibrant
sorry about that what i meant about painting the blue painting was that it looked altogether unnatural and shiny. however thanks for the advice! also what i meant about the chaos black was that does it make a difference to the models overall apperance or does using matt black spray paint from the hardware store do the same trick. thanks hepas
Provided it works on plastics and metalics, Spray Paint from a hardware store can help you save money towards getting more miniatures. Same goes for tools and paint.
Invest in the GW primer, you don't want to lose the detail on your models.
A can will last you for at least 3000pts worth of minis.
hi thanks for the replies, yer i'll go for the GW primer, so im guessing it doesnt have a better overall effect besides detail? why im asking is wenever i go into a GW store there models have like a dryer more natural colour, whereas mine are shinier if u know what i mean! thanks a lot for ur help
the dryer, less shiny effect is prolly bc they use matte varnish
