All three rounds of competition have graciously been sponsored and all prizes have been provided by MiniWarGaming! Please support them and visit their awesome store.
Welcome friends to our first large scale Librarium Online Competition. This competition is the first of many to come and there is no better way to start than BIG! This competition is broken down into three separate rounds. Each round is related to the last but it is absolutely not necessary to compete in all three. You can compete in one, two or all three of them. Bonus points are awarded to those that compete in more than one though!
Without further ado here is everything you could want to know about the competitions. If there are any questions or concerns please reply to this thread for an open discussion. We have done our best to think this all the way through but if you see any potential hiccups or problems please let us know.
Round 1- Special Character Contest - Competition Thread
Development: Starts March 21, 2012 - April 3, 2012
Voting: Starts April 4 - April 11, 2012
Contest Rules:
The goal of this contest is for players to create a special character for their army during the next two weeks (limit one character per army, per player). The character must have an original name, statline, point cost, no more than three special rules or pieces of wargear, and up to 120 words’ worth of fluff to describe him.
Players are encouraged to post “in-process” threads in the army subforums for comment and advice. Begin the thread title with “SCC” so others will know it’s a part of this competition.
To respect copyrights, players are encouraged to cite an established character’s statline and then list modifications. Example: Codex: SM Librarian, +2 WS, -2I.
Lastly, please indicate whether your special character may be used by others for the Short Story Contest later on.
Voting:
By the end of the two weeks, a special thread will be posted in each army subforum for submissions. Judging will be by open polling over the next week.
Rewards:
Each valid entry will be rewarded with 15 rep points.
Each winner from each army sub-forum will win 50 reputation points plus the 15 reputation points awarded for competing. The second place winners will receive an additional 15 rep points.
+25% votes for having the character modeled and painted, WYSIWYG. Need not be a GW model but must be unique.
+25% votes for allowing other contestants to use your character in the short story

Round 2 - Custom Terrain / Custom Modelling Contest
Development: April 4 - 24, 2012
Voting: April 25 - May 1, 2012
Contest Rules:
There are two separate sections to this round and both will be run simultaneously if there is enough interest for both. Please let us know if you plan on competing in one or the other so we can make a call before April 4th which one (or both) to run.
1. Terrain:
The goal of this contest is to create a custom piece of terrain roughly 12”x12” in size that is suitable for gameplay. (The size is intended as a guideline and will not be strictly enforced.) Submissions must include at least one picture of the terrain and a brief description of the building process… methods used, difficulties encountered and such.
Players are encouraged to post “in-process” threads in the modelling sub-forum for comment and advice. Begin the thread title with “CTC” so others will know it’s a part of this competition.
Team submissions will be accepted for this contest.
