I have 8 gift cards for Games Workshop with the following US Dollar values:
I am offering to sell them for $85 each. I will be selling them in order of highest to lowest. So the first buyer for $85 will get the $105.79 card. The next buyer will pay $85 for the $105.00 card. The last buyer will get the $99.90 card. Most of you probably know there is a promotion going on now with Games Workshop where if you spend $100 you will get $5 add’l gift card. If you combine this offer with the current promotion, you will be paying $85 for at least $105 worth of buying power (obviously it would be $85 in cost for $110.79 in buying power for the highest card).
This is 100% legit. I cannot explain exactly why I got these cards, because my employment contract has a confidentiality/non-disclosure clause, which I cannot violate or I could be sued. I am in the greater Chicago-land area and will meet anyone who wants to buy in-person. I can talk to you on skype or phone if you'd like to chat w/ me real quick. I have 100% positive feedback on Ebay and this includes the sale of a couple Warhammer items (a third item was sold without problem, but the guy is too lazy to leave feedback apparently).
Here is my Ebay profile verifying my past sales and 100% Feedback: eBay Feedback Profile for clicon212
If you buy a card, you must leave a positive feedback/reply to this thread when you receive the card, so that other future buyers know this is a legitimate offer. I am going to say this again: if you buy a card, you are REQUIRED to post a reply to this thread upon receiving the card. It is part of the transaction. All amounts are in USD.
FAQs:I spoke with Games Workshop Customer Service - these cards are only usable at Games Workshop stores in the United States. Are these cards usable in any country other than the US? Are they usable on the GW Webstore?
They explained this for several reasons. One, each country's computer/register system is separate from others. If you swipe a US gift card in a UK store, it won't even register. Second, you cannot use a gift card at the the games workshop online webstore. It can ONLY be used in the actual physical store. Someone suggested by email that I might mail out the cards and "use the code on the back at the online store" while its in the mail. It's not possible according to Games Workshop. This is *NOT* an online gift voucher. This is a gift card, and you have to physically have the card in your possession to use it.
PS: Someone told me you can take these cards into the store and order on their website at their web terminal anything that isn't in the store, so technically you CAN order online w/ the cards, but it still has to be done through a physical location (it's a bits order, effectively). But again, this isn't some gift certificate voucher that can be used at the website directly from your PC at home. It has to be used in the store. You can verify the accuracy of the amounts two ways.how do we verify the amounts listed on the cards?
One, I have copies of the receipts for 6 of the 8 cards. I can provide copies of the receipts. The cards were created in pairs (two per receipt). One of the receipts was left out by mistake (not by me), but for most of these cards, you'll get a copy of my visa/receipt showing that the cards were legitimately created at a Games Workshop store. Second, you can probably go to any games workshop store and ask them "How much is left on my card?" and they should be able to verify it for you, they should be able to verify whats on the card.
Also, be aware that Games Workshop employees are trained to write down the dollar amount on the back of the gift card when the issue the card. It's part of their operating procedure. They don't issue cards and then leave the amount blank on the back of the card. You will see on the back of each card, the $ amount written.
EDITED: According to a former GW employee who PM'd, me you can take the code on the back of the card and call their customer service # and verify the amount on the card. I don't know if that's accurate (and I can't be sure the guy who PM'd me here is actually a former GW employee), but it's probably very viable. I'll try to verify it later by calling them myself, but I'm slammed w/ work now.Yes. Either Paypal or Amazon Payments is acceptable. I personally prefer Amazon Payments only because it has 0 fees (up to a certain limit), but I'm flexible w/ either. My email and payment email address is the same for both. Will you accept Paypal for these?
Any way you would be up for a trade (if you still have the gift cards)? I live in the Chicago suburbs and have a 2000+ point Chaos Daemon (Nurgle) army that I no longer wish to play. I'd be willing to trade for $500 in gift cards, as that was approximately the cost I paid for the army.
all were sold. thanks for your interest. moderators can close/lock this thread.
