D- ever tried to paint bluetac? It's like Tsele said, it's still WIP. There are still a fair few things to be done and quite a lot needs finishing. The claw's size, I must say I understand you wanting it to be larger Tsele, but to me, this size gives it something even more diabolic than a huge claw, with all it's brutality does, it (or maybe it is supposed to) signal precision. The right hand is for brutality, cleaver and severed-head-flail for bashing, crushing and general chopping, the left hand is for more detailed buissnesses, like...debrainification, vacuuming out geneseed and maybe ripping out the occasional heart -you know. I will also give him like a rim of skin just round the top of his head, in an effort to make it look like if the skull has been laid open. THe backpack still needs some work and the mouth is far from finished. I'll try to use the speakerpiece from an IG voxcaster as the speaker-thing and then I'll add some teeth and see if I could make it look like there are maggots pouring up from within his throat. I also have pondering on how to make the transition from skin to snail, and my latest idea is to make it look like if the skin is like seperated from the snailpart, hanging down from around the waist and then bolted to the snailbody. This would allow for a very sharp contrast between the two... maybe I'll have some physical darkness like coming through on a couple of torn places in the "human" skin"...not sure. I also have a fair few more bits of cables and tubings to attach.

Thanks a lot Ikterius, and yes, that QM is dare I say, the most awsome set of models ever. But now, it's time for a quick update ![]() I've had a lot of things going on lately and the sculpting has gone very slow, but still not to a halt ![]() So here are the latest additions. First, I have worked some more on the claw, or rather on how it is attached to the arm. I've gone for an Obliterator inspired look. ![]() So, the claw and the face. I've added teeth and gum plus the filter thingie in his mouth. I have also put some more work into the bionical eye. It's things that take quite some time to do but is really hard to see on the model:/ Not the most rewarding of things. But when one starts painting, it really feels good to have done those details ![]() ![]() The backpack is almost done too, here goes: ![]() Just some of the minor details left, then it's all about painting

Andusciassus wonderful job... although I don't know if wonderful is suited for a Nugle DP... I like the details in the mouth and the way you attached the bionic claw to the rest of the hand! If painted like tissue too it will look awesome! I think the backpack needs a little more detail on it... or it will be covered by rotting things?

Your g.s. skills seem to be improving with each new post. Excellent, excellent work. As Tsele said, the backpack needs a little more Nurgle conversion.

Thanks Rabbit, but it's not only skillincrease that makes it look better, I think it's also how the level of detail increases with every step. It's one of the lessons I've learned working with GS. No use to start with the details as they will either be ruined by a thumb going in the wrong place or be covered by something else in a later state... Anyhow, I'm really happy for the comments, they help me moving on and maybe even finish this model. How about that for a surprise? I've worked the backpack some more to add that Nurgle feeling to it, and also begun with the shoulderpad and I have added the maggots he will be puking out and that will crawl from his wounds. Also I've added some more detail to his bionic eye, but that really doesnt show on those pics, sorry. You'll get to see it when I start painting him...maybe tomorrow. Picies ![]() ![]() Here you can see the maggots and a new wound on his right side, it's where the maggots crawl forth. ![]() Basically the same but from a different angle. But here you can also see the new pipes (of a more organic style...will be painted in bone) on the backpack. ![]() Here is a better shot of the new improved or at least Nurglified backpack. I'll add some joins to the tubing at the bottom, but otherwise I think it's about done. Any comments n this are very welcome. The last pic is on how it's (the backpack) joined to his body by something that will be painted to look like an intestial...thing. ![]() That's it for now. Better do somethingRL-related now... like return to my studies.. or maybe vacuumclean...or... hey, those flowers look like they could use some water!
