Well,it ain't my lord, but I would use a jump packer myself, personal aesthetic and combat style preference.
I'd use the skull, but then he'd be mistaken for a Dark Apostle or something- maybe go with bare head.
Thanks for the input. 8Y I am asking for opinions, so feel free to post away.
definitely the jump pack, it makes him much more mobile... and to be quite honest I like the skull helm but like Dominatus said he is gonna look a lot like chappy with it on.

Thanks for the comments. I do like the Skull helm, maybe I'll ad some very short horns to the forehead. I don't think chappies can totally corner the market on Skull helms to be scary; I mean he is a Frakin' Chaos Lord and as such should be the embodiment of "Death Incarnate"! 8Y
Say he ripped it off some Chappie. That's a pretty Chaotic action. 8Y
I will chaosify the helmet some more if I use it. Which is funny since it's a Chaos helmet to start with. Darn Loyalist scum!
Yeah i have to agree with the jump pack idea, but i prefer the bare head to the helmet. I think it makes the characters stand out more and so can be more easily recognised on the field, all my special characters usually have abaddons head without the topknot.(and plus that flaggelants head looks very cool and chaosy)

I like the jump pack for the reasons stated above, and just want to say that in 40k, that bare head is going to be a lot more unique, and it's a nice model head to begin with. I think it would make your Lord stand out more to have that uniqueness. Maybe you could use the skull / terminator armor together as his suit when he decides to wear it...nothing says that evil Chaos Lords can't dress differently from day to day when their moods swing!

I prefer the human, wounded head. It looks realistic and less like a cartoon. Plus, you've already established that you can paint flesh. 8Y
It's not a choice, it's a Nurgling.
