Celestial Lizzies

So a quick back story before I tell you my conversion ideas. I have been playing lizardmen since the new rulebook came out and never really got a solid idea for a paint scheme. The GW's blue lizzies are nice but I wanted my OWN thing. Years pasted and so did idea's but nothing really caught on. WELL a friend of mine started up lizardmen and....IMEDIATLY found an amazing color scheme. I admit I was jealous but kudo's to him because his fiery/lava lizardmen color scheme is sick.

Funny thing happened because I made a very interesting seat for my slann. All the grooves are hawk turquoise and the flat surfaces are black. It basicly looks like some sort of energy is running through his throne. WELL then the idea came to me for a "Twilight Princess" sort of look to my army. The coloring would be neat, and I had also made a sort of warp under the slann, on his base, mimicing the portals in Zelda's Twilight Princess. But...then again all it would be is a paint job...not much moddling...SO my lava lizzie friend suggested I do ice lizardmen. But seriously.....jungle lizards....snow....cold blooded........I think not.


YETTTT I began to think. The conversions for an ice lizzie army would be cool....but I like my "Twilight" scheme.

Okay, to get to the point. I will be converting my army into "The Army of the Old One's." My army spawns up in higher elevations of Lustria and have been spawned to survive the colder temperatures. A strange power is given to them by the gods *my twighlight thingy*

So...ice lizzies, with cool celestial weaponry. It's a WIP so I'll try to post pics and such when I can.

I actually started on one saurus and bought a whole new box for 'em today =]

I brought it into my local hobby store where I play and one of the kids asked what model it was, and I explained it was just a saurus with a fur cloak and he goes, "WHATTTT I thought that was a real GW model!!!"

I was pretty happy

now why would a lizard want a fur cloak? hes cold blooded . Realism aside, It sounds like a good idea. I'd like some pics. NOW. I kid. post them at your leisure.
