I'm not dead from the modeling. I've been working on a couple of independent thing. Here's a sneak peak at some artwork I'm using for inspiration for one. For my company master (not sure which chapter yet) I plan on throwing him on a bike with a relic weapon. The only weapon I would want on a bike would be a lance. The design behind it is a blade on the front that has a destruction field, and then some archaic lance. I think in fluff I'll say that he emphasizes precision leading the killing blow.  http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r.../lanceside.jpg  http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...ancebottom.jpg I started with a Warriors of chaos standard pole, then beefed it up with GS. I then cut notches for the blade (old school combat knife for marines) and the power source (melta bomb). I plan on smoothing it out later this week and making a long ribbon to wrap around it and look fancy. I've also been working on a one-off Black Templar. I'm not sure what to do with him yet. That stuff looks good. I like that you will be using a lance on the bike-rider. That will make him look like he is speedy. I think the lance will need more smoothing out as it is still lumpy looking. The parts work well on it and it is good to see things like powerplants being added. I like the Black templars guy you are doing. He looks very good with the shield and you are right that a pose can often make or break a model, I spend ages posing mines sometimes. You seem to of done well with him in making him look life-like. You could try to give him an elaborate base with dead aliens/heretics/mutants/traitors etc. I have to say that the last couple of pics of the Templar dude look as though he is being absorbed by the Blob!

When I was cutting in room for the melta pack, I had a bit of trouble trying to get through the original layer (it was mostly blue, so it was like cutting a rock with a butterknife). I guess I'll need to start coming up with ideas for my Sons of Librarian tech-libby. Scrounging through bits I've found Helbrecht's backpack, a missile launcher reloader arm, tons of BT chestplates, and devastator sgt gear. Any suggestions?
