Ever since GW first released the Lysander mini, I have hated it. This is a guy who is First Captain of the Imperial Fists, has a mean big hammer and deep strikes straight into the thick of the battle, beating men, machines and alien scum into pulp with no mercy.

The GW mini looks like he's sneaking around on tiptoes, trying not to be seen. Well I want to change that. So here's my conversion so far.

He is still missing the right shoulder pad. I have decided to give him one with style, so I've ordered the Forge World pads, which should arrive within the next few days I hope.

I will also be adding wires and stuff to his head, and of course his goatee beard, using green stuff. I will most likely also be making a nice scenic base for him.

What do you think?

It's looking very good, way more dynamic than the "sneaky lysander".

He is good looking. I like that he now does seem to be angry with his surroundings or at the very least shouting and somebody. I think scenic and interesting bases are cool. If you like the idea of him pulping alien/heretic scum you could try a load of corpses on his base or bones. You could even get a corpse cart for it and apply all the bodies a heap of pulverised heretics and deviants. Things like the skull part of the Carnifex regenerate head or one of those Genestealer skulls that come with Genestealers would work too, Tyranid players usually have a couple of those things lying around.

That's it! I always knew there was somethin wrong wit the lysander model...he was 'sneaky'! This is a gr8 conversion; you've kept the detail + look of lysander, but made him look like he really has deep striked into the enemy, not like he is sneakin around (and how could he in termie armour?!). Job well done
