Default Need Information and ideas
Hi guys!

I am super psyked about the new SM Codex, and for some bizarre reason I want to do an Arthurian themed army.

Obviously the Chapter Master is going to be Arthur, armed with Excalibur (Relic Blade) and Storm shield. I really want to make him stand out, so I was thinking of converting the Grey Knight Terminator Sargent, so he looks like a BIG Space Marine in power armour (As is fitting for a Chapter Master)

What I need to know is what comes seperate on the Grey Knight body (Arms, hands, etc.) and I need ideas for what sword/shield I could use.

I could be wrong, but I beleive with GKTs, the only thing coming seperate are the arms.

I would use the sword fro the GKT himself as it looks cool and the position of it is really nice.Especially if you are wanting to make an intimidating chapter master.What is your idea for the shield?

Just to put it out there, the relic blade is atwo handed weapon, so denies you the storm shield effects in combat. Are you aware of this?

For the sword why not go for the lion sword off asmodia?

A Relic blade only negates the bonus for an extra hand weapon, as does the Storm shield.

If you were unable to use a Storm shield with another weapon that negated the extra weapon bonus, then thunder hammers and storm shields would not be viable.

Yeah, the sword is nice, but it's not really....shiny enough.

For the shield I was thinking about using one of the Forge World Black Templar storm shields.

But now it seems GWs infinite wisdom has decreed that a space marine doesnt need to hold his shield but can imagine its in his hand and thus gains its effects.

I do like the BT shield,what are your SM looking like?I mean color wise and what kind of feel are you trying to get with them?

Same Rule, different ways of saying it. There are swords in history that were two handed, but could also be used in one hand. Narsil/Aunduil and Strider's Sword are perfect examples of these b*stard swords/longswords. Personally, I imagine a relic blade being one of these, than a massive claymore.
