Photos are best taken in a well lit area using a white background. If it's a sunny day, go outside and take them with the sun behind you. If not, go inside and use an anglepoise lamp or two to flood the area with light. It might mess with the colouring a little but some quick photoshopping should be all you need to fix it. As for the white background, a piece of printer paper propped up so that it doesn't form an L shape, rather a smooth curve, is generally the best way of doing things. | |

So you like nurgle and want to give your guys an urban and used feel or make them into fallen, cool, this I can work with. The Fallen idea would look good with some of the older models and MKs of armour and really shouldn't be too hard to convert either. You can get some of the dark angels upgrade bitz and give some of them robes and maybe a pad or two to show where they originated from and then do what you like with the rest. This will work well with only a small force too as I don't see Fallen congregating in large groups. With Fallen you can also have individual guys dedicated to certain gods. Also just because you have a guy that looks like a nurgle worshipper doesn't mean you have to pay the points for it. On the matter of the 400pts, you already have like 15-20 marines in power armour plus your Lord. I really think you don't need the Termis in your force. 1) Because of the points restrictions you have and 2) Because the old metal termis (as I've mentioned) are really a pain to try to convert, especially if you want to make them look like power armoured guys. If you want to go for a Nurgle looking force then the possessed guys will work in your favour as you can have them all muti and gross. And as I mentioned above, you can have them look like nurgle marines and just pay the points for normal marines. As long as your oppnent knows they are not plaguemarines, and therefore don't have all the extra goodies they get, there will be no issues. And doing them nurgle doesn't mean they have to be Death Guard either. You can create your own scheme for the guys and just make them a bit icky. Battle damage is easy to add to your models, especially if they are plastic. You can use a pin-voce to make bullet holes in chest and shoulder plates by drilling very shallow holes then scoring the edge of the hole with a hobby knife. Gouges and chips can be done with a file or hobby knife. If you really want to go nuts you can do acid-burns and corroding on the armour with a bit of mineral turpentine or methalated spirits. I hope I don;t need to say this but just incase: DO NOT PUT IN EYES, DO NOT DRINK OR SNIFF. Get a cotton bud or the ear-cleaner-thingies and dab some turps/meths on the area you want to melt. Be careful to not add too much as it may melt too far into the model. Also note this only works on plastic models. When painting dammage on armour paint around the (lets say bullet hole) with black in a jagged shape. The get boltgun metal or similar colour and paint just inside the black area. This will give the impression of chiiped paint and leave a slight black line around the edge to make it stand out. I'm sure there are some good battle damage threads on the forum and I know there are some tutes on the GW site and in WD sometimes. Hope I've helped and again sorry for the late reply
