I'm working on some broadsides. However, even while they're more converted than farsight, I don't think they'll turn out better.

Seeing as you don't get better without practice and advice, though...

It looks to me like, on the head at least, you've lightened the red for the highlights with white, resulting in a pinkish colour. I think (I'm delving in to my memory here which tends not to be all that reliable at time) that it's a better idea to lighten the red with orange.

I haven't actually painted all that much red myself, so maybe check that one before you start using it on all your minis...

looks great, i was thinking of doing a winged conversion too but never got round to do it, you should try make a "buster rifle" for a broadside
