Predator-like sponsons on a Land Raider (Redeemer and Crusader)

I am remaking my classic Land Raider Godhammer pattern into a Redeemer/Crusader model. The “/” symbolizes the fact that i want to magnetize the weapons. I looked at several examples and although they keep the original look of the weapon sponsons, they involve a lot of magnets and modular pieces that will be easy to lose/misplace. One particular design used at least 6 magnets per weapon, per sponson! That is waaay too many magnets IMHO.

And since I actually like a lot the look of a Predator sponsons, where they essentially are hanging down from a hull extension, I decided to go that way. My plan is to not use the lower support platform for the sponsons, modify the outside armor plate (possibly use the Aegis AA gun base for those) to fit the new mounting system and use a pair of magnets on top of the weapon only. Again, very much like a Predator sponsons.

Are you fine lads aware of any conversion like that? Are there any pictures of such a tank to be found on the net?

On my land raider I added magnets behind all 4 doors. This means I have to buy 3 sets of sponson mounts but its worth it for a quick change. Plus I can put the sponsons at the front or back door.

On a predator I made the side sponsoms removable by drilling a horizontal pin through the top of the stem into the targeter on top. To replace remove targeter pull out sponson, insert new sponson and the replace targeter.
