    Question: Green Stuff Vs Milliput

Basically what are the differences between kneadatite (Green Stuff) and Milliput. If I was making a mould of something what material would be best to use? and for adding detail/sculpting what would be recommended?

    Thanks in advance.

Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

For me I've only had limited experience with both, mainly due to my skills in trying to sculpt anything what so ever!! :-) Milliput seems easier to shape and sculpt than Green Stuff to me as it's softer and seems to cut/shape easier. Green Stuff always really annoys me because it sticks to everything when I'm trying to shape it, etc. This is probably down to my skill at sculpting though! :-)

Modelling wise, sculpting was my dump stat.

Green stuff gives you finer results whilst milliput tends to break apart and loose it's shape quickly when doing small scale stuff. Use green stuff for small stuff and milliput for larger works and bloking out shapes.

A little water helps greenstuff from sticking to your sculpting tools. Just keep a cup of water and dip it in every so often. Water also helps you smooth out the surface nicely.
Which armies do I have? Holy Cow - I've got three boys, so what armies do I NOT have??
Win/Loss Ratio? - I usually let my boys win, so frankly, it stinks...

For moulding it depends on what you are trying to use to make your final model. - will it be metal or resin?

I'd have to agree, Milliput I use on bases and for building large areas on a model up, but of anything that's going to have undercoat directly on it else I find it almost utterly useless. Greenstuff can be a little sticky at first, but I find that leaving it out for 10-20 minutes takes the sticky edge off it.

Don't forget there's also liquid green stuff and brown stuff...
