I have never used plasticard before, but I'm comparativly good with green stuff/plastic models. my question is, what thickness of plasticard should I buy? what thickness is most versitile? what are the differences between the thicknesses?

I found a store that will sell me practically any variety, but only in large sheets.

thanks in advance for any input.

it depends on the job that you want the plasticard for, i normally go for 0.25, 0.5, and 1mm thickness and use these for most of my conversions that require P/C but for scenery i prefer 2/3mm to help take the weight.

well, the only specific thing I have in mind is my take on the sentinel powerlifter:

have you seen the movie Aliens?

anyway, I was going to try and scratch build something like that. for those that havn't seen it, it's a sort of utility exosceleton/mech used to cart things around, make repairs, and fight Alien Queens. the pilot is strapped in, controlls most of the movements with his/her body, but also has some random buttuns/levers to do things like clamp down with the forklift-like hands or operate a welding torch.

in the future I might be making some simple things like armour plating/crew compartments for my squiggoths

as you can tell I don't have a very clear Idea of what I need
