Instead of using the standard colonel for my army i'm going to convert one. I'm using half a pair of crouching legs and half a pair of standing ones to allow him to have his foot up on something, a revolver (bolt pistol) and a power sword made out of a catachan sword, lieutenants chainsword and the minority of an auspex. The problem arrises with the head. I want ones that's: Not Screaming Helmeted or capped and preferably plastic. Any ideas? And would it be feasible to cut two heads in half ( like the tank commander and some other one) and stick them together?

Not many plastic models have milltary style hats, but I would use the Commisar Gaunt or the standard Junior officer model.

for one of my commisars i took the hat off commisar yarrick and the plastic head from the IG tank sprue. the one that is talking/yelling into his comm-bead and took his plastic hat off. This worked quite well, and gave the impression of him calling out orders to the troops you could do the same but use one of the catchan heads as some of these aren't yelling.
