Well, seeing as the wood elves have now got plastic light cavalry (something that Dark Elves need badly!) it would make sence to try and convert some. Has anyone else tried this?

Looking the the glade riders sprue, it seems I can cut the bows out of the hands and stick on those spare crossbows you get with warrior boxes. I will leave the quivers and perhaps replace the heads with spare dark elf heads. Of course, and evil paint scheme would be needed.

If anyone else has done this, can you post pictures?

Haven't done it, but I'm guesing you will need a LOT of spikes, to give everything a more evil feel, espescially the armour and horses which, I guess, you'll keep. The weapons will need to be more curved and pointy as well, without the clean lines of wood elves.

well if anyone you know play wood elves. they might have some spare scout heads and they are hoods so they would help. and what spike alive said.

Glad to be a help. These are intended to be part of an all female army, but I'm sure they'd still look cool with the male models that come with the box, if suitably painted of course.

I have seen those as well, and my friend have decided that he also want to make Glade riders in to Dark Riders. The biggest problem might be to get the spears right and to amke their poses look diffrent. All the glade riders have a similar pose and the arms are made to hold bows. You could probably use the spear-arm that you get in the warrior box, don't know how that would look though, and cut down the bow arms and attach crossbows.

You are doing most of it right. Dark colors on clothes and armour, and pale skin. Add some DE helmets, and you are good to go
