Default Daemon Prince Model
Hey Chaos Forum! First time for me here,

I have converted most of my existing Space Marine renegade army into a Chaos Space Marine army and I want to have a daemon prince in it but I can't decide which model to get. I know that I'm going to put black tattered angel wings on it but I'm not sure what to do for a body. My original idea was to have a sort of daemonically possesed suit of terminator armour with the wings, a very large sword, black armour and another sword strapped on his back but I don't want to buy a whole set of plastic terminators just to use one. I hate the look of the WH40k Daemon Prince, and my freind who plays Chaos is allready using Belakor the Dark Master as his DP and I want mine too look original. Can anyone give me some ideas?

This should be moved to the conversion forum I reckon, but untill then- why not use an Obliterator body?
I've done it once, for a NurgleLord and I was very happy with the final result. the Carrion wings I used would fit your guy perfect.
You'll need a new head and some other less Obliteratory arms.
Good luck with the conversion and if you have any other questions just ask.

I put it in this forum because I'd get a better response rate then in a conversion forum. I really don't like the oblit body becuase it looks like a disabled termie with a hunchback. And it would be too hard to mod the metal and get a different pose out of it. I need something that doesn't look as slugish as the oblit. Thanks for the input though

What kind of look are you aiming for?
Have you checked the Inquisitor-range, there are many fine models to use.

I don't want something that looks too deformed. Something like the armour of a termie but with big wings and a big sword. The only thing with the termie idea is that a regualr suit of terminator armour won't be big enough to convey that "monstorous creature" aura you get with other models. I'm so complicated

Sweet Beejebus!!!!! He's PERFECT!!!! Just stick a different head on and he'll look amazing!!! I wonder if you can order him in Canada though? I'm going to check the .ca right now and see what I can find. You are my saviour man!!! Much thanks!! However....I still need to find a way to get him a big sword and arms to hold it.........

You'd actually be surprised at how many people frequent the Conversions forum.

In any case, since this is a conversions question, it belongs there, foot traffic or no.

You may want to check out Archaon from the Fantasy range. I used him to create my Lord (do search for threads started by me in Conversions for pics) and I think he looks wonderful. No wings, though.

*Sigh....move the thread if you could please. I'm already in enough deep water with LO already.

As for the Tyrus Model, he's $40.00 and for that price I might as well buy a termie set and just mod one with existing bitz I have. $40.00CA isn't worth it for one model as much as I love the look of him. Grrrrrr....Why does GW have to be so expensive.
